The Maturation Of Jeezy: The Legend of The Snowman Is Growing Before Our Eyes

Having followed the career of Young Jeezy over the last two decades, the way he has matured has been amazing to watch. All too often, we see artists who never want to change and who stay stuck in a street mentality. However, the “Snowman” rapper is out to prove that you can spit gangsta music and still be classy with it. How? His Legend of The Snowman show in Vegas is changing the culture.

“If I could have worn a bow tie to see Tupac, I would have done that,” Jeezy says in an exclusive interview with Don Lemon.

The Evolution of Jeezy’s Vegas Show

The two discussed why he put on this special performance, which features his classic hood hits backed by a live orchestra. “We didn’t have one incident last year,” Jeezy notes. “The whole tour was nothing but professional brothers and sisters who just wanted to celebrate.”

This represents real, grown-man energy. We have all seen the tragic news reports of someone losing their life after simply stepping on someone’s sneakers. Jeezy points out that rap has historically been such a young man’s sport that you aren’t exempt from that volatility when you show up in those environments. He even reveals that he doesn’t want to take his wife anywhere near places where that could happen.

Fortunately, all of his hard work is paying off. “This is a vision I’ve been working on these last three years,” Jeezy says. “What you’re going to see is culture evolving in real time.”

Ultimately, Jeezy’s Vegas show is a place where you can come, enjoy yourself, and witness a celebration of the culture in a single space with people from all walks of life.
