Singer-songwriter Ruth B has officially announced her highly anticipated third studio album, Peace to Make. Dropping on August 21.
Along with the announcement, Ruth B shared details about the album’s lead single, “Didn’t I.” Giving fans a glimpse into the inspiration behind the track.
“It was a different writing experience,” Ruth B explained. “It came about with some friends, not through a writing session. I kept repeating ‘Didn’t I’ a million times over, just hanging out and having a few drinks. It’s about reflecting on a past relationship and being like, ‘I kind of told you,’ that your actions were going to lead to this. A little tongue-in-cheek. It’s a fun one.”
The upcoming album could be one of Ruth B’s strongest projects to date. Additionally, she has been working alongside six-time Grammy Award winner Cole M.G.N., a producer known for his acclaimed work with artists such as Carly Rae Jepsen and Beck.
Ruth B’s profile has continued to rise in recent years. She received major recognition by being sampled on Rod Wave’s chart-topping hit “Street Runner.” This introduce her music to an even wider audience.
With Peace to Make arriving this summer and “Didn’t I” already generating buzz, fans have plenty to look forward to from the Canadian singer-songwriter.
